Meet Pastor Dirk Hill and his wife Laura Hill.

Dirk has been involved in ministry since 1998, serving in various churches throughout Texas. He and his wife, Laura, felt called to plant a church in Tyler, Texas—New Beginnings Deaf Fellowship—where they faithfully served the Deaf community for nine years.

In 2019, the Hills relocated to Richmond, Virginia, where Dirk served as Pastor of Deaf Mission at Richmond’s First Baptist Church for five years.

In 2024, Dirk and Laura moved to Indiana following a career opportunity for Laura. She now serves as the Assistant Principal for the Early Childhood Education and Elementary programs at the Indiana School for the Deaf, while Dirk works as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Riverview Health Hospital.

After a year and a half of prayer, God opened the door for Dirk and Laura to plant a new Deaf church in Carmel, Indiana. Deaf Church Indy officially launched on February 1, 2026, with Deaf Church at Brentwood partnering alongside them in this new church plant movement. The congregation currently worships at Harvest Church, whose leadership graciously opened their doors to welcome Deaf Church Indy.

Dirk and Laura have been married for nearly 29 years. They are the proud parents of two grown children, Dakota and Lexi, and recently welcomed a daughter-in-law, Teagan, into their family.
